received by the Commissioners for Indian Affairs for use by the agents and for
distribution among the Indians from September through November 1786. The goods
and rations were bought and delivered as part of the events surrounding the
signing of the Treaty of Shoulderbone, November 3, 1786, near Shoulderbone
Creek, Georgia. Also present in this document are the individual accounts of the
Indian commissioners and agents, including John Galphin, Daniel McMurphy, Philip
Scott, Jesse Barnet, James Durouzeaux, George Hunt, and George Troup. It is
